Video Title: Why evil word curses DON’T work on the Righteous 🙏🏿 Prophetic Word on Spiritual Warfare – Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of our spiritual warfare series. If you have not watched part 1 please do so you can follow along this journey with us.

As I mentioned in part 1, because the subject of spiritual warfare is very broad and can go in many different directions topic wise, I am allowing God to lead me on what to address as well as some of your concerns.

People of God, I am not an expert in the subject of spiritual warfare or witchcraft, but I know enough from my own experiences, your testimonies, and from the knowledge I get from reading the bible about these things, amen?

With that being said, we are going to move forward with discussing spiritual warfare using these foundations. Praise God!

You all know my stance. Test the spirit behind this message. Also, see the video I previously recorded in the description box below that will give you some easy tips on how to ask God about today’s word, okay?

So lately, I have been receiving questions with concerns and fears from Gods people about someone cursing them. And after praying about it, the Lord gave me the green light to answer that question in this video, the question of can a believer be cursed by someone. Praise God!

A quick disclaimer guys. The title of this video is: This is why evil word curses don’t work on the righteous

but we are not going to cover generational curses in this video.

Today we are going to narrow our focus on a form of witchcraft, a type of evil curse- called word cursing, which can create different levels of attack or warfare in the life of a person.

Word curses are executed when someone intentionally speaks or prays a supernatural power to destroy, harm, or punish another person.

People of God, we need to know that the ability for satan to use a person to curse another is real and it happens all the time. Especially in families and in the Church.

Evil curses are real spiritual attacks that derive from the kingdom of darkness that have a sole purpose to kill, steal, and destroy a child of God in the natural.

So what is an evil word curse?

Evil curses are executed by the words that are spoken from a human beings mouth which the bible says have power to do good or bad.

The bible says in Proverbs 18:21, death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof

So in the case of word curses, if a word is spoken or uttered out of the mouth of a person with an evil heart, with evil intentions right, their words have the potential or power to harm another person in a bad way, amen?

Somebody says well Shaneika what do word curses look like? What do evil word curses sound like?

Evil Curses can be spoken over someone directly or indirectly.

Directly, you might hear someone say something like, Your life is going to be miserable because you offended me. Or you going to hell because of what you said to me. Or you are going to suffer in the worst ways possible because you would not do what I told you to do Or, if you say something else about me, you will be sorry you did it, you gonna wish you never came for me. Or, that’s why sick now and it’s only going to get worse because you came for me. Son, you are never going to amount to anything because you are stupid. Daughter, you will never have a good husband because of the way you look. Or, I wish you never existed and the list goes on. Amen?

The other direct way that we curse our own selves. Sometimes we condemn ourselves. Sometimes we speak dead things into our lives.

We say things like I’m never gonna get well. Or I’m never gonna get married. Or I’m always struggling and will never get ahead, or I’ll never have enough money for that, or I’m sick and tired of my life…things like that, right

These are the type of examples of how words can be used to curse a person, including yourself.

Then you have the curses that are indirect, meaning someone will attempt to pray to God about you. Somebody that feels that they are extra special to God, will attempt to go God in prayer about you

But here is the problem. Listen carefully…

Instead of them going to God about you in prayer, the way bible instructs us to in luke 6:27-28, which says:

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

they go to God with an evil intent, they go to God with hard heart in prayer and speak to God about you OR they may use certain scriptures in the bible that speak about destroying or killing a person because of their sin. And we know these types of verses can be found in the Psalm, and other books, Amen?

So these are the ways curses can be formed against a person.

Now somebody may be asking, well Shaneika how can these words affect someone in a bad way?

Well fist guys remember the bible says that life or death are in the power of the tongue.

But also, it depends on how these word curses are being perceived by the person it is intended for. Or It all depends on the spiritual posture of the person that the word curse is intended for, okay?

Now, People of God, we are all susceptible to the temptations and trials of the world, we are susceptible to our flesh, and sometimes we can fall prey the tricks of the devil. There is no doubt about that.

But…Listen carefully!

The bible also says that evil word curses have no power over a believer that is 1st filled with the Holy Spirit’s power.

Why?

Because the Bible describes this power of God as being the highest power in the earth, the universe, and the heavens. An example of Gods power we find in Proverbs 8:29

29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Hallelujah!

So The power of God is above human logic and it supersedes the powers that come from the kingdom of darkness.

And Once a person has accepted the authority of Jesus Christ, that person has the power of God, the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. Praise God.

The bible also says that people that are filled with the holy spirit AND are obedient to God are empowered by God’s blessing and His favor which make them unaffected, unmoved, or unreceptive to Satan’s power. Why? Because a child of God stands in the power of God, a child of God is covered in the blood of Jesus Christ, amen?

The bible says in Proverbs 18:10

10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Meaning, believers can count on God’s protection from curses, whether directly or indirectly when they submit to Gods authority.

Now on the flip side, word curses can occur or manifest in someone’s life.

Let me give you two examples:

If a person is not a believer, or living a luke-warm lifestyle, that person can become a target of someone cursing them.

Why? Because they are giving satan an open door into their lives. Remember, we said earlier, only people that are obedient to God are empowered by Gods power, blessings, favor and as a result, entitled to Gods protection.

Also, if a person is not putting their trust in God by speaking word curses over themselves, that person can become a target of curses because they are inviting satan into their lives. Remember in part 1, we talked about how Believers have to bring their thoughts into the submission of Christ because if they don’t, the devil will succeed in telling them lies about themselves, lies about their families, or lies about their situations. Amen?

So to answer the question if someone can curse a believer with their words or prayers. The answer is No, if the believer is obedient to God, carries a repentant heart, has faith in God, follows God moral laws, and submits to Gods authority.

No, word curses don’t work on the righteous, on Gods obedient ones.

But the answer is yes, curses can affect the non-believer, the lukewarm Christian, and the believer that does not put their trust in God and they speak dead things over their own lives. Why? Because again, there is an open door to satan and his lies in the person’s life.

So that is the word for tor those today.

For those of you that are struggling with your faith, I encourage you to go back to part 1 and listen to the strategies that can help you with this area of your life!
