Blessings Everyone!

I wanted to speak to you guys about just something that we need to be aware of, and most of us are, but some of us need to be reminded. And God is speaking so loud and clear as it relates to the body, his people, his children, on how badly he wants us to stay focused. Now, the Bible tells us to guard our hearts and minds. How do we do that? By giving prayers and supplications and petitions to the Lord, and his presence will guard our hearts and minds. But people of God, the Lord is speaking so loud and clear as it relates to us guarding our ears, guarding our ears. Because now we are in a place with the church where everything is about entertainment. Everything is a show. Everything is gossip. Everything is mockery. Everything is slander. And people are getting their popcorn and they’re sitting down and they’re waiting to hear about the next thing that happened with this minister and the next thing that happened with that minister. And we are just getting distracted from what the Lord has called us to do as servants of the Lord.

For some of us, we’re leaders, we’re called to prophesy. We’re called to preach the word of God. We’re called to teach the word of God. And some of us as servants are called to evangelize and share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with people. Why? In an attempt to try to steer as many people as possible as close to Christ as possible. Praise God. And the Lord is saying that we are not guarding our ears. We’re listening to things and we’re allowing our ears to be filled with a bunch of mess, a bunch of foolishness. We’re sitting down and we’re getting our entertainment from listening to gossip, watching people get mocked, keeping up with the things of the world instead of focusing on the church, instead of focusing as leaders on preaching the word of God.

I think it was Isaiah chapter six, God commissioned prophet Isaiah to go and preach. And he told the people to see, but do not perceive, to hear, but do not understand. And so what does that mean, people of God? It means that the Lord is calling us to hear what is fruitful to the ears. Hear what is coming from the Lord, hear the word of God, hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and to ignore, to guard the ear, to block the ear gates from things that are not of God. And so that is what’s happening, people of God, in the church. The Lord is saying that the people of God are being deceived because their focus has shifted from what is important, which is to open up our ear gates to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Instead, everybody got something to say about somebody and they want to talk about this and they want to talk about that. We’re talking about things that are not even applicable to the church. And while we’re being entertained in these different sectors, we are losing focus on the primary goal, which is to preach the word of God, which is to teach the word of God, which is the prophecy, which is to share God’s word, people of God.

And the Lord is saying, this is the way that the enemy is coming in to deceive the church. This is yet another way. All of this entertainment, all of this mockery and gossip and games and talking and bickering and yelling and screaming and competition and all this stuff that’s going on in the church is completely distracting the ears from hearing what they need to hear. And as a result of us being distracted with the entertainment, praise God, we are all out of balance. And the enemy is having a field day. The church looks a mess right now. Nobody takes God’s church seriously anymore. The body of Christ is not being seen as credible anymore. The body of Christ is in a mess. Praise God. Now I know some of y’all are like, whatever, but that’s okay because it is what it is. And we gotta do right, people are God, we all fall short. We do. We all make mistakes. We all have our way. We all have our means of entertainment and things like that, stuff that we enjoy, nothing wrong with that. But we don’t need to use the church as a means to be a mockery. We don’t need to use the church as a means of entertainment. The body of Christ belongs to Jesus. We are his bride, and our job is to serve one another in the church. Our job is to serve people that are called to hear from us to be fed by us. Our job is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

And we have steered away from that. We are allowing our ears to be filled with a bunch of mess, mockery, gossip, all this stuff that’s going on, we gotta stop this y’all. And I don’t care who doesn’t like it, it’s the truth. And I’m not saying that everybody that’s watching this video is doing this, but I’m just putting it out there. Just look at it. Just take a look for yourself. Just sit back and look around and see what’s going on. Especially on social media, just look, look at God’s church. Is this the representation of Jesus? Is this the representation that God sees for his church? It’s not. And we have got to get our focus back to God. We gotta clear our hearts and our minds. And we must keep our ear gates clean. God is watching you. God is watching me. And God will not be mocked. If we keep this stuff up, God gonna sit some people all the way down, and hopefully, they’ll repent to get back up. But God is saying, guard your ears and stay focused on the prize. Stay focused on the plan. Stay focused on the assignment. Stay focused on doing what God has called you to do for his church and stay out of this mess that has nothing to do with the church.
