So listen, the Lord has been whispering to me for the last, I’ll say three to four weeks, or maybe even more. I’ve been hearing no more room, no more room. And I don’t know about you guys, but I tend to hear things and just kind of brush it off as it just being a thought. But most recently I’ve been hearing this phrase a lot more frequently and a lot louder. So I finally decided to ask the Lord if he could help me understand why I was hearing this. And he said to me, Shaneika, it’s about time. I’ve been wanting you to come and ask me about this and so I did. And the Lord began to reveal to me that my life is cluttered. He began to point out some specific things that I have obligated myself to do, some things that I have assigned myself to do, some things that I thought that I was supposed to be doing because it looked like it was the right thing to do, it looked like it was a good thing. And God began to minister to me, and he said, Shaneika, you know, not all good things are God things, not all good things are God things.

And so I say that to say this to minister, to the sister or brother or both, the Lord wants to release something in your life. There is something that you’ve been waiting on. God gave you a promise. God gave you insight as to what he wants to do in your life moving forward in this season, maybe the next season, maybe sometime down the road and he has you planning for it. But whatever this is, it requires a lot of space. It requires a lot of your time. And because you have been preoccupied with stuff that you implemented in your own life, God didn’t do it, but you did it because you saw it as being a good thing. God can’t release it. God can’t release the situation. God can’t release the provision. God can’t release the relationship into your life because your space is being occupied by something that you saw as being good, but it wasn’t a God thing. And so God is saying that you sacrificed your time, you sacrificed your finances, you sacrificed space, you sacrificed something in your life to get this thing done. You’ve made yourself obligated to this particular situation or this circumstance or the person. And God is saying that you did it from a good heart that you initiated it because you thought it was the right thing to do. You’re doing it because it looks like a good thing and you’re sacrificing yourself for this particular situation, relationship, person, whatever the case may be. But God is saying child of God, that obedience is better than sacrifice.

God says that this is one of those situations where you put sacrifice over obedience. God says that he did not ask you to start that, he didn’t ask you to do that. He didn’t ask you to get involved with that. He didn’t ask you to obligate yourself with that. He didn’t ask for you to spend time into something that you started out of sacrifice, into something that you started out of the thought that it was a good thing. Again, the Lord is saying that not everything good is God. God says, it’s a good thing, but it’s not what he wants to do in your life. God says he has a purpose, and he has a plan, and he has something specific for you to do. And what you have involved yourself with, the obligations that you have taken on in your life, the responsibilities that you have picked up, because you thought it was a good thing because you’re sacrificing yourself. God is saying that that is not what he wants you to do.

In fact, God is saying right now he says beloved, I have someone that I have already raised up to do what you’re doing. He has someone that he has already trained to do what you are doing. He has someone that he already has in mind to pick up the obligations that you’ve picked up, to pick up the tasks that you’ve picked up, to sacrifice out of obedience to God to do what you’re doing. God is saying that you must clean up your space. You must make room because if you don’t make room, he cannot release what he wants to release into your life. The Lord said he has spoken to you about this. Some of you have already been convicted. How does that look in your life? It looks like now that what you’re doing that initially started out as being good, that initially started out as being a sacrifice, now you’re starting to feel overwhelmed. Now you’re starting to feel like, Ugh, you know, it doesn’t feel good anymore. There’s no joy in it. There’s no peace in it, right? It feels like it’s draining you. And the reason why it feels like that is because it’s not what God wants you to do. It is something that you decided to do in your own life. And God is saying that he knows that your heart was pure you began it. And that is why he is extending his grace and mercy to help you come out of it so you can make room for what he wants to do in your life.

So, people of God, I encourage you to go into the prayer closet today, go to the altar and allow the Lord to point out those things that you have started in your life that God didn’t tell you to start. And I can promise you, God gonna have you go down the list. You’re gonna start looking at your daily tasks. You’re gonna start looking at your finances. You’re gonna start looking at your relationships. You’re gonna start having to look at how you spend your time on a daily basis. God is gonna have you look at plans. He’s gonna have you look at goals. He’s gonna have you look at strategies and all of those things so you can pinpoint exactly what it is that God needs for you to get rid of, that God needs for you to stop doing, that God needs for you to push out of the way so you can make room for what he wants you to do. God has something specific for you to do. It requires space. It requires room in your life to be able to occupy it. So, people of God, the Lord says obedience is better than sacrifice. You must make room, not everything good is a God thing.
